More often than not, women and people of color are left out of the historical record. A new book by James Gould and Nancy Shoemaker titled Women of Barnstable brings some of those women and their stories to light. On The Point, we talk with Nancy about her research, and about some of the women profiled in the book. "Women of Barnstable” is published by West Barnstable Press and available at the following venues: Titcomb’s Bookshop in East Sandwich, the Cahoon Museum of American Art, Isaiah Thomas Books, also Cotuit and Sturgis Libraries, and Barnstable Historical Society in Barnstable Village.
