News Roundup: High Primary Turnout Keeps Town Clerks Busy; MV's Red Gate Farm To Be Protected

Jennette Barnes

Tuesday's primary saw big turnout—but a lot of voters didn't make it out to the polls. And, it's been described as one of the most important pieces of land in the Commonwealth. It's on Martha's Vineyard, and it will be preserved from development under a new deal.

We have those stories and more on the local news roundup, as CAI News Director Steve Junker speaks with some of the region’s leading journalists.

This week's guests include Geoff Spillane of the Cape Cod Times; CAI's Jennette Barnes; Noah Asimow of the Vineyard Gazette; Tim Wood from the Cape Cod Chronicle; Mary Ann Bragg of the Provincetown Banner; Josh Balling of the Nantucket Inquirer and Mirror; Brian Dowd from the Martha's Vineyard Times; and WCAI's Mike Deehan at the Statehouse.
