Plenty to do this weekend. Here's a rundown of arts and culture events from one end of the Cape to the other.
Fall has for centuries been a big time for harvest festivals, and a Mid-Cape group is celebrating the old-fashioned way in Cotuit, with demonstrations of 19th-century crafts, and a visit from the oldest fire engine in Massachusetts.More info.
Also on Saturday, there's a big fishing party in Falmouth, marking not the start of a season, but the end of an important one for the Cape Cod economy. It's the annual StriperFest.
For local theater, usually you’ve got a few weeks to catch a show, but there are two productions at opposite ends of the Cape happening this weekend only, one in Wellfleetand the other in Falmouth.
And in Brewster, Shark-tember is going on, with plenty to grab people who love Great Whites. More info.
