This time around on Sittin' In, CAI's John Basile introduces us to Alan Area, a Cape Cod Based blues musician who has been making music for decades.
Arena, originally from Waltham, Mass., has released several albums and singles over the years and performs regularly around New England with his band Volume Control. His influences range from Chuck Berry to the great blues musicians who helped to create American music in the 20th century.
Along with his music, he devotes much of his time and to caring for a friend dealing with Huntington's disease. It's a relationship that helps to define his life and informs his music as well.
