News Roundup: Vaccination Frustrations; Lobstermen Face New Regs to Protect Right Whales

February 1st marks the start of Phase 2 of the state's COVID vaccination rollout, open to seniors 75-and-over. But many of those eligible can't get an appointment and find the online registration system maddening. And Massachusetts lobstermen are hit by new regulations designed to protect endangered North Atlantic right whales.

We have those stories and more on the local news roundup, as CAI News Director Steve Junker speaks with some of the region’s leading journalists.

This week's guests include CAI's Jennette Barnes; George Brennan from the Martha's Vineyard Times; Tim Wood of the Cape Cod Chronicle; Mary Ann Bragg of the Provincetown Banner; Jessica Hill of the Cape Cod Times; Noah Asimow of the Vineyard Gazette; and CAI's Mike Deehan at the Statehouse; and CAI's Eve Zuckoff.
