Diamondback terrapin populations have faced pressure from humans and human activity since the turn of the nineteenth century. On The Point, we talk about this unique turtle species that lives in in a narrow band of brackish coastal waters along the Atlantic coast, and local efforts to protect them.
Guests on the program are:
Barbara Brennessel, professor emerita at Wheaton College, and author of Diamonds in the Marsh about the northern diamondback terrapin.
Bob Prescott, Sanctuary Director Emeritus at Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
