Flaco, the world’s most famous bird

Flaco was a Eurasian eagle owl who escaped from the Central Park Zoo. Despite spending his life in a cage he learned to fly and survive in the city. We talk with David Gessner about this remarkable bird and the human drama that followed him. Gessner’s latest work is The Book of Flaco — the World’s Most Famous Bird.
