Bird news for June

May’s last hurrah
Mark Faherty
A Red Phalarope, sandpiper that winters well offshore, was one of the many species that blew in at Race Point in Provincetown on May 30.

It’s our monthly Bird News show with Mark Faherty, the science coordinator at Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. In this episode, Mark talks about how spring storms tend to bring migrating birds to our shores, including a migration fallout event documented in Provincetown. And he discusses a possible first breeding record on the Cape of a rare warbler. Plus callers offer their own stories about birds they are seeing in their backyards and beyond.
