The shortfin squid influx and its possible causes

A shortfin squid
Thousands of shortfin squid have washed up on Cape Cod beaches. It's possible currents and winds are chasing the species, which is normally found offshore, into shallower water where they cannot navigate.

This time on the fishing news CAI's John Basile talks with Kevin Blinkoff of On The Water magazine about the recent influx of shortfin squid in local waters.
Many of the squid died, leading to speculation about the cause. But it appears to be a natural phenomenon driven by tide and wind conditions.
They will also talk about the movement of bait fish into Cape Cod Bay and what that means for anglers.
