The Life and Work of Edward Gorey

book cover art

Writer, artist, and illustrator Edward Gorey is perhaps best known for his macabre drawings and stories. On The Point, we sit in on a conversation with two people who share a passion for Edward Gorey and his work: Mark Dery and Jill Erickson. Mark Dery is the author of Born to Be Posthumous, The Eccentric Life and Mysterious Genius of Edward Gorey. Jill Erickson is Head of Reference and Adult Services at the Falmouth Public Library and a regular guest on our monthly book show. She’s also an avid Edward Gorey fan who was part of an acting troupe that performed many of Gorey’s plays while he was still alive in the 1990’s.
