Valentine Greetings from Tisbury School Students

Tisbury School third-graders on Martha's Vineyard wrote Valentines as a library assignment, and we were fortunate to be able to record them.  Some of the students also sent us their artwork.

There were 32 students who recorded their work, and we've grouped them into five audio files.

Logan, Cecilia, Bryan, Hitallo, Roxy

Lindsay, Robert, Kawan, Emily, Thauan, Izabella

Pietro, Lacey M., Daniel O., Maria, Mayssa, Justin, Chloe, Adana

Leona, Lacey L., Daniel Z., Gabriel, Mike, George, Noah, Mark

The Valentine greetings were produced by WCAI's Dan Tritle along with Tisbury School Librarian Whitney Burke.  Special thanks to school staff members Kathryn Harcourt, Amy Custer, Mollee Lewis, Anne Williamson, and Nicole Shirley.

Host and producer Dan Tritle has wanted to be on the radio since he was five years old. A washashore from the Pacific Northwest, he's been at the job since May 2000, shortly after the station went on the air. He's a veteran of the Associated Press Radio Network and NPR, and has reported for several commercial and public radio stations. Dan also is a former staff member of the Washington State House of Representatives. As often as possible he bicycles into work on the Shining Sea Bike Path. Dan is seen frequently on stage at the Woods Hole Theater Company, Barnstable Comedy Club, Cotuit Center for the Arts and the Cape Cod Theater Project. A self-proclaimed nerd, he listens to obscure movie and TV soundtracks. Favorite movies: The Wizard of Oz and Forbidden Planet.
