Service Dogs Trained to Help Veterans with PTSD

 Service dogs are often associated with the sight impaired, but dogs can also be trained to assist those experiencing emotional overload or coping with reoccurring fear and panic. On The Point, we talk with a service dog trainer and veterans who use service dogs to help with their symptoms of post traumatic stress disorderMindy Todd hosts the conversation. Guests in the studio are: Cynthia and Ken Jones, founders of Heroes in Transition, a non-profit based in Mashpee, with their mission to provide service dogs to veterans; Matt Noone of Hy Noone K9 in West Barnstable; and Andy Surner with his dog Scout.
