Falmouth resident Jenny Putnam wants to create a space for knowledge based, respectful conversation about race. She’s teamed up with the Falmouth Public Library to present a series of Lectures titled Beyond the Dream. Mindy Todd talks with Ms. Putnam about the plan on The Point. Jill Gordon, Professor of Philosophy at Colby College will be giving the first lecture, focusing on economic inequalities, on July 22nd at 7pm. The next lecture is about Race, Mass incarceration and social justice, with Dr. Keith Reeves, Professor of Political Science, Chair and Faculty Director of the Center of Social & Political Studies, Swarthmore College. The talk takes place on Friday, August 12, 7 pm at Falmouth Public library.
