On Air Book Club: Tommy Orange's "There There"

The Point's on air book club discusses Tommy Orange's novel There There.  The book tackles themes of cultural and individual identity, generational trauma, spirituality and the interconnectedness of all things through the stories of 12 Native American characters.

Jennifer Weston, a member of the Lakota Tribe who has worked for the past 25 years with Tribal community programs focused on environmental justice, Indigenous education, and language revitalization. Currently Jennifer directs the Wampanoag Language Reclamation Project.

 

Linda Coombs, a member of the Aquinnah Wampanoag tribe on Martha's Vineyard, with family in the Mashpee Wampanoag tribe. Linda has worked for 45 years as an interpreter, artisan, researcher and museum educator of Wampanoag history and culture at a number of institutions in our region.
