On The Point: the past, present and future of the Schooner Ernestina-Morrisey. Built in 1894 the schooner fished the Grand Banks, explored the Arctic, was a packet in Cape Verde, and most recently, a sailing school vessel. Now the state ship of Massachusetts is being re-born at a shipyard in Maine. Mindy Todd talks about the schooner’s history and her new mission with Chester Brigham, author of Phoenix of the Seas. Here's a Link for information about the author's upcoming talk at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
