Book Lovers and Authors Gather on the Vineyard, & more: Best Bets for the Weekend

MV Book Festival

August is here, and there are plenty of events to enjoy this weekend. Book lovers will want to be on the Vineyard for the Martha's Vineyard Book Festival. Music and food come together on Saturday at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds for the Naukabout Festival. Also on Saturday the Edward Gorey House in Yarmouthport is holding a Children’s Day Celebration with the excellent name, “Fantastagorey.” The Woods Hole Film Festival finishes this weekend, and Jay Craven, a director from one of the featured films will be making a number of appearances in our area, as part of a bigger tour. And don't forget Saturday night's big event, The Moth at the Tabernacle on Martha's Vineyard.

Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss these events on All Things Considered; audio posted above.
