Santa must be mopping his brow, wondering how he's going to do it. He's got appearances scheduled at holiday events across the Cape and Islands this weekend - plus he has to keep his eye on the big day, less than 3 weeks off. Lots to do!
Fortunately, for us seasonal celebrants, it means lots of fun and excitement. Holidays by the Sea launches this weekend in Falmouth, which culminates in the 50th annual Christmas Parade. Hyannis Village has a Stroll on Saturday, including the Spectacle of Trees at the JFK Museum. A little farther out on Route 132, the 12th annual Enchanted Village lights up for the season at Cape Codder Resort & Spa.
And there is no shortage of holiday music to be enjoyed. Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra is doing six concerts over three days of its holiday program, with guest groups including the Annie Moses Band. In Orleans, the Gloriae Dei Cantores choir is finishing up its concerts celebrating its 25th anniversary.
An exhaustive list of holiday events can be found here.
Steve Junker and Kathi Scrizzi Driscoll discuss events every Thursday during All Things Considered. Audio of this week's conversation is posted above. Give it a listen.
