Former Associate Producer, Morning Edition / ReporterSam Houghton left CAI in February, 2023, to become News Editor at the Martha's Vineyard Times.
Sam started at CAI in 2017 as host on Saturday's Weekend Edition, then transitioned to Associate Producer, Morning Edition / Reporter. Sam grew up in Woods Hole before moving to New York City for a brief period to pursue journalism. He came back to the Cape when he got a job at his hometown newspaper, the Falmouth Enterprise where he covered local politics.

Voting day started on the wrong foot in the Town of Barnstable. Thanks to a malfunction in a vault, the town's ballots were locked away and couldn't be accessed. The town printed new ballots and got them to the thirteen precincts. Polls stayed open until midnight to compensate for the lost hours at the beginning of the day.
