According to the Centers for Disease Control new cases of Melanoma in Massachusetts are 26% higher than the national average with Nantucket County having one of the top 5 rates of new melanoma among counties nationwide. We’ll talk Dr. Peter Hopewood about ways to decrease our risk of skin cancer and why we're at greater risk for UV exposure in the spring than in the dog days of summer.

Whether it’s a pre-schooler in the back seat or a baby boomer in line at the grocery store it seems everyone is playing computer games. We’ll talk with Cape Cod Times Technology columnist Chris Boots-Faubert about some of the most popular games, how seemingly “free” games can end up costing a fortune and how games are being used in educational settings.

21st Century Barn Raisings

Affordable housing is limited on the Cape and Islands, and one of the non-profits addressing this need is Habitat For Humanity. Using volunteer labor and donations, Habitat builds and repairs homes, and ensures houses will remain affordable in perpetuity. On The Point, Mindy Todd and her guests talk about some of the upcoming Habitat for Humanity projects in our region, and the Habitat ReStore where used building materials and home goods are sold to fund Habitat projects.

New Research Predicts Dramatically Greener Arctic in Near Future
